Question: If my pet runs out of food/litter or any kind of supplies while I’m away on vacation what will happen?

Answer: DPSI will ensure that items are purchased as needed. We will either purchase the same item or find something similar. We will then send an invoice for those supplies to the client.

Question: My pet’s care instructions have changed at the last minute, can I just leave a note out to update the sitter?

Answer: All changes to care instructions must be updated in Time to Pet, our online database. You can access the Time to Pet Database by clicking on the link sent to you via your invoice. We tell our staff that the care instructions found in the database are the most up to date ones. Please do not leave handwritten notes for staff.

Question: Do you offer nail trims?

Answer: Nail trims can be added to an existing service for a reduced fee. Otherwise you can book a standalone nail trim for your pet. Not every sitter provides nail trims. Currently, nail trims are only available for existing clients.

Question: My dog doesn’t like other dogs, how will you walk him?

Answer: We will avoid other dogs when necessary. When we walk dogs, we don’t let them interact with other dogs that we might meet.

Question: Will you use prong or e-collars?

Answer: Our staff are not trained to use these tools safely or effectively. We will not walk your dog using a prong collar, choke chain or any type of e-collar. We recommend purchasing a harness from your local pet store and we will use that when walking your dog.

Question: What happens if my dog requires medications at specific times of day?

Answer: No problem! We will ensure your pet is scheduled within the 2hr period that fits their medication schedule best.
